Acceptable Use Policy
Trinet Corporation, being a provider of Internet access, web-hosting and other Internet-related services, offers Customers the ability to connect to public and private resources around the globe (the “Service”). This Acceptable Use Policy is designed to protect the users of our services and the public and private networks from disruptive and/or illegal activities over such connections.
By signing an Internet Services Agreement you agree to be bound by all facets of the Acceptable Use Policy. Trinet Corporation reserves the right to terminate a client’s account at any point if the client violates any activity disallowed within this policy.
Illegal Activity
The Service may not be used for any activity that violates any local, state, federal or international law, regulation or order including, but not limited to: Disseminating material that infringes the copyright, trademark and/or other intellectual property rights of others. Engaging in any fraudulent activities, including, but not limited to: “IP Spoofing”, impersonating any entity or person, or engaging in illegal soliciting schemes.
Spamming
The Service may not be used for the distribution of unsolicited bulk/commercial messages. Forging, altering or removing electronic mail headers is also prohibited.
Obscene Content
The Service may not be used to advertise, transmit, post, display or otherwise make available obscene content such as child pornography.
Abusive or Threatening Messages
The Service may not be used to send or post any messages deemed threatening, abusive, defamatory or harassing.
Distribution of Malicious Content
The Service may not be used to distribute any destructive content including viruses, trojan horses, worms, flooding, pinging and any other activities or content that disrupt the use of the network and any connected network.
Security
The Service may not be used in any attempt to gain unauthorized access to any private or public network. This includes security screening tasks such as port scanning, stealth scanning or any other information gathering activity. The client is solely responsible for the security of any devices connected to the Service and any data those devices may contain.
Other Limitations
Client may not distribute, resell or share the Service with any third party without the written consent of Trinet Corporation. Engaging in any activities, whether lawful or unlawful, that Trinet Corporation deems to be disruptive or harmful to its clients, operations, or reputation.
Trinet does not actively monitor the client’s content and use of the Service, but if made aware of any violation of this policy, will take the action necessary to resolve the issue. Trinet Corporation will also comply with any law enforcement agencies concerning any client activities over our network.
